  • What is Counselling?
    Counselling is a process of talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It can help you to understand yourself better, develop coping skills, and make positive changes in your life.
  • What should I expect in a counselling session?
    The first session will usually be an intake session, where the counselor will get to know you and your needs. Subsequent sessions will vary depending on the type of counseling you are receiving, but may include: Talking about your thoughts and feelings: The counselor will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings about the issue you are struggling with. Learning coping skills: The counselor will teach you skills to help you manage your emotions and cope with stress. Making positive changes: The counselor will help you to set goals and make positive changes in your life.
  • How long does counselling last?
    The length of counselling will vary depending on the issue you are struggling with and your individual goals. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may need more. Each Session will be 45min - 1 hour long.
  • What are the benefits of counselling?
    Counseling can offer many benefits, including: Improved mental health: Counseling can help you to improve your mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. Increased self-awareness: Counseling can help you to understand yourself better and develop a healthier self-image. Improved relationships: Counseling can help you to improve your relationships with your partner, family, and friends. Increased coping skills: Counseling can teach you skills to help you manage your emotions and cope with stress. Improved quality of life: Counseling can help you to improve your overall quality of life by reducing symptoms, increasing self-awareness, and improving relationships.
  • How long will I have to wait after signing up for the first session?
    Once you have made the payment, please allow 24-48 hours for one of our counselors to contact you.
  • How do I get Started?
    To sign up for a session, click the "Book now" button. You will be taken to a billing page where you can fill in your details and pay ₹299 for the first session. Once you have paid, you will be contacted by text to schedule a time for your session. Your session will be a 45minute- 1 hour audio/video call depending on your and the counsellors preferences. After your first session, you will receive an email with more information about our membership plans. You can then choose the plan that best suits your needs.
  • What are the Qualifications of the counsellors?
    Firefly counsellors are qualified and experienced mental health professionals. Our policy mandates that they have a Master's degree in Psychology/Clinical and have completed supervised clinical/training hours. They are trained in different therapy techniques to help you with your mental health issues. Here are the therapy techniques they are trained in: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): This therapy helps you identify and challenge negative thoughts and behaviors. Rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT): This therapy helps you challenge irrational beliefs and develop more rational thinking patterns. Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT): This therapy focuses on finding solutions to problems rather than dwelling on the past. Mindfulness-based therapies: These therapies teach you to focus on the present moment and to accept your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Interpersonal therapy (IPT): This therapy focuses on improving relationships. Client-centered therapy: This therapy focuses on helping you feel understood and accepted.   • Will the information I share be kept confidential?
    Yes. At Firefly, we understand that mental health is a sensitive issue and we take all necessary measures to ensure that your information is kept confidential. All of our staff members are bound by strict confidentiality and privacy policies. Any detail, no matter how trivial, that you mention during the sessions will be kept strictly confidential. Without your consent no third-party will have access to the information disclosed during your sessions. Every counsellor at Firefly is ethically bound to maintain confidentiality except in situations where there is risk of self-harm, harm
